Reflective sounds, traditional folk music, and local dialect prepare for the calm Advent and Christmas season in Geistthal. The Salzburg Styrian Advent in Södingtal on November 28, 2026 focuses on musical traditions from Styria and Salzburg. An evening that offers space for reflection and awakens anticipation for Christmas.
In the Hall for All, the Gradner Gsang, the brass players of the Musikkapelle Geistthal, and the Oberstaater Zwoagsang from Pinzgau will create a festive Advent evening. With traditional songs and solemn brass sounds, the participants express the musical roots of their home regions.
Dialect poems by Pepi Hohl complement the musical program. The texts incorporate the local language and give the evening a personal, down-to-earth touch.
The interplay of Styrian and Salzburg folk music, familiar sounds, and dialect makes the Salzburg Styrian Advent a reflective prelude to the upcoming Christmas season. Away from the pre-Christmas hustle and bustle, shared experiences, the preservation of regional traditions, and the joy of authentic folk music take center stage.
