Public viewing: World Cup at the University of Graz
When the kick-off sounds in RESOWI, football becomes a shared evening full of excitement, conversations, and real World Cup atmosphere in Graz.
Registration required!
Football brings people together – that’s exactly what this special evening at the University of Graz is all about. In the RESOWI, the World Cup match Mexico against South Africa will be broadcast live on a big screen as part of a symposium. Even before the kickoff, the atmosphere that only a public viewing can create begins to develop: eager conversations, tense glances towards the screen, and shared excitement with every scoring opportunity.
Doors open at 4:30 p.m. There will be time for exchange, encounters, and discussions about football, society, and international perspectives until the match starts at 9:00 p.m. At a place like the RESOWI, it becomes clear how sports connect people from different countries and backgrounds. Between lecture halls, campus, and a summer evening, a special atmosphere emerges that extends far beyond ninety minutes.
When Mexico and South Africa meet, a World Cup match transforms into a shared experience in the heart of Graz. Cheers, suspense, and small football moments create a true tournament feeling – without a fan mile, but with a lot of closeness and an open atmosphere.
Admission is free. Registration by June 8 via email to anmeldung_oeffre@uni-graz.at is required. This makes the evening planable, and all guests will easily find their place at the joint football evening at the University of Graz.
With public transport, getting to the university is easy.
