Opening of the Semriach hiking season

On April 19, the Hiking Season in Schöcklland in Styria starts in Semriach. Meeting point is at 9:00 AM at the Gasthaus Häuserl im Wald in Semriach/Schönegg. There, a freshly prepared egg dish breakfast awaits, just right for an active morning in nature.

Afterwards, the cozy family hike takes you around Eichberg. The paths are easy to walk and offer wide views over meadows, forests, and farms. Step by step, the landscape reveals its tranquil side – just as you know it in the Graz Region.

Along the way lies the “Landniederlassung” in Semriach. The museum showcases agricultural tools, old implements, and tractors. Many stations tell stories of working on the farm and the lives of earlier generations. A short break provides time to look around and catch your breath.

The return path leads past the Lurgrotte Semriach, a well-known natural monument in Styria. After that, it goes back to the starting point at the Gasthaus Häuserl im Wald in Semriach.
