On February 28, 2026, the Gasthaus Altes Fassl in Weinitzen will open its doors for everyone who wants to take their first steps in folk dancing. Between 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM, traditional dances from Styria will be explained and demonstrated, making it easy to join in and try.
The afternoon is organized by the ARGE Folk Dance Styria. Whether alone or accompanied – everyone who enjoys movement and Styrian music culture is welcome. Live music will accompany the event. The atmosphere? Casual, open, and full of energy. No prior knowledge is required, and special clothing is not expected. So, for anyone who has always wanted to dive into the world of folk dancing, this is the perfect entry point.
The Gasthaus Altes Fassl at Fasslstraße 24 is known for its warm hospitality and fits perfectly with this down-to-earth dance afternoon. The event is a good example of how traditions remain vibrant and can be newly discovered in the Graz Region.
