Open-Air Cinema on the Mur Island: Summer Movies 2026

Start times: July, 8.45 p.m. I August & September, 7.45 p.m.
Rare films from 100 years of film history are displayed, selected and curated by the Film Center at Rechbauerkino.
Monday is “Teen Screen” day: the Children and Youth City of Graz provides a special film program for young residents of Graz.
Admission is free! Free seating!
Please arrive no later than half an hour before the start of the event. We recommend arriving one hour before the start, as only a limited number of people may be on the Mur Island at the same time.
Exception: For the film parties on July 29 and August 12, registration via email (filmzentrum@filmzentrum.com) is required for logistical reasons (Subject: “Mamma Mia” or “Rocky Horror Picture Show”), max. 4 seats per reservation, while supplies last. Any remaining tickets will be issued on the respective event day on the Mur Island.

Admission free. The first-come-first-serve principle applies. Free seating!
If the weather is nice, the screening takes place outdoors in the amphitheater; in bad weather, the films will be shown in the café.
