When festive brass music fills the parish church of Geistthal, the anticipation for Christmas draws a little closer. On Sunday, the 13th of December 2026, the music club Geistthal and the music band Södingtal will jointly present the Advent concert "Music for People" – Christmas Melodies.
Under the unifying motto "One Valley – One Sound," the two music bands will present an evening of music where the joy of music and communal playing are at the center. The Christmas melodies create a contemplative atmosphere to musically conclude the third Advent Sunday.
The parish church of Geistthal offers a charming setting for the festive sounds of brass music with its sacred space. Here, the musical traditions of the region meet the special calmness and reflection of the Advent season.
The joint concert of the two bands also stands for the connectedness of the people in the valley. Music serves as a bridge between places and generations and shows how vibrant the regional brass music culture in Geistthal and Södingtal is. The concert evening will be hosted by speaker Martina Läßer.
