Murder Mystery Dinner: ‘Murder & Death at the Gasthof zur Zapfsäule’

On Thursday, March 4, 2027, at 7:00 p.m., the murder dinner "Murder & Death at the Inn zur Zapfsäule" will begin at Schloss Vasoldsberg. The price is € 109.90 per person and can be booked online. The Bavarian crime show comedy combines a multi-course dinner event with a mysterious murder case.

The setting of the story is the small village of Köln in Lower Bavaria, known for its year-round carnival celebrations. At the center of the village is the successful tavern "Zur Zapfsäule," run by the perpetually grumpy Heimgard Zapf. When the innkeeper unexpectedly and violently dies in the regulars' room, the local police face an unsolved case.

Now, the guests are called upon for support. Together, they form a special commission, examine evidence, question suspects, and try to catch the perpetrator. Possible suspects include Heimgard's three sons, her daughter, or one of the mourners. The plot unfolds between the individual courses and intertwines investigative sleuthing with Bavarian humor.

The actors take on a total of 13 roles throughout the evening. This creates a fast-paced stage action with changing characters, suspicious family relationships, and numerous clues. At Schloss Vasoldsberg, theater, culinary arts, and collective puzzling come together – with a murder case where the audience becomes part of the investigation.
