Long Night of the Museums

Sa., 03.10.2026 from 18:00 o'clock

The Hanns Koren Museum connects personal memories with Austrian cultural and contemporary history, making a tumultuous century vividly understandable.

Entry is free!

At the Long Night of Museums on October 3, a man whose life is closely connected to the cultural and historical developments of the 20th century takes center stage at the Hanns Koren Museum. Collected memories of Hanns Koren (1906–1985) meet here with historical events that have profoundly shaped Austria and the world.

The exhibition not only traces biographical milestones but also opens the view onto “his” century. Personal memorabilia and historical contexts make it visible how closely individual lives and significant societal developments can be interconnected.

Additional insights are provided by museum curator Heimo Lercher. He is available on-site for questions and explanations and complements the museum visit with background knowledge about Hanns Koren, his work, and the historical references of the exhibition.

Thus, the evening becomes a meeting with a piece of Austrian cultural history – personal, historical, and with many connections for all who are interested in the developments of the past century.

St. Bartholomae can be reached by public transportation.
