At the 4th Lipizzanerheimat Music Hiking Day, a leisurely hike through the Lipizzaner homeland combines with folk music and regional sounds. On Sunday, September 13 2026, the event starts at 10:00 a.m. in the Stadtpark Bärnbach and follows a route of approximately two hours with several stations in the region.
The hiking route runs from the Stadtpark Bärnbach over Piber and the Kurpark Köflach to the Hundertwasser Church. The hike is accompanied by various music groups, who provide musical entertainment at the stations and along the route. Local delicacies will be offered for the enjoyment of participants.
The Music Hiking Day will be inaugurated by the city band Bärnbach and the mountain band Oberdorf. The hike will musically be accompanied by Lipiklang, Die Ondrucka, Belgier Spitzbuam, and 5 e samma. The program at the final station in the Stadtpark Bärnbach includes the Alpenoberkrainer, Helmut Hussler, and Ligist 3.
The Music Hiking Day offers a combination of movement, landscape experience, and traditional music in the Lipizzaner homeland. The route connects well-known places in the region and showcases the cultural diversity around Bärnbach, Köflach, and Piber.
