Almabtrieb Festival in honor of the young wild ones, the Lipizzaner stallions parade through Maria Lankowitz and Köflach back to the stud farm.

Nothing is as noble, nothing as graceful as the world-famous Lipizzaners, which have been bred at the Federal Stud Piber since 1920.

Once a year, there is an opportunity to experience the Lipizzaners in a very special way and to witness a unique event, namely when the around 40 one- to three-year-old young stallions, who spend the summer months on the Stubalpe, begin their journey home to Piber.

The Alpine drive of the Lipizzaner young stallions combines ancient customs with lively celebrations and is a highlight in the event calendar of the Graz experience region.
