This monthly themed tours provide special insights into the castle, the state rooms, and our museum everyday life: Behind the scenes, current restoration projects, or peculiarities that can only be found in Schloss Eggenberg.
Schloss Eggenberg is much more than the largest castle complex in Styria. The 365 windows are just one of the special features that this extraordinary monument holds. The former residence of the Princes of Eggenberg is arguably the most significant palace building of the 17th century in Austria and has been a UNESCO World Heritage site since 2010. The quality and extent of the preserved authentic substance of the state rooms represent a special stroke of luck, which has also been rated as "excellent" by the World Heritage Commission.
