Krampus run Bärnbach
Krampuses and St. Nicholas to touch for the little ones
In the center of Bärnbach you can expect a special event on November 29.: the traditional Krampus Run. This event offers a unique mix of customs and thrills, which is particularly enjoyed in Styria.
The celebration starts at 4:00 p.m. in the parking lot of the Kulturcafé in Bärnbach. Younger visitors can look forward to a special encounter – St. Nicholas comes and invites the children to follow him in the role of little Krampuses. For the children, this is an exciting opportunity to dress up as little Krampuses and experience the tradition in a playful way.
At 4:30 p.m., the actual Krampus Run begins. The "real" Krampuses then parade through the streets, astonishing the spectators with their frightening masks and costumes. The partially eerie figures embody the winter custom that offers a fascinating spectacle every year for the brave and curious. The Krampuses create a captivating atmosphere with loud bell ringing and wild movements, which particularly causes wide eyes and unforgettable impressions in the twilight.
Whether as a family or with friends – the Krampus Run in Bärnbach offers an exciting start to the Advent season and is a unique experience in Styria that you should not miss. The Graz Region warmly invites you to experience this fascinating custom live and immerse yourself in the special atmosphere.
Bärnbach is accessible by public transport.
