Guided walk: Over the Lineckberg and Hauenstein

The hike from Weinitzen leads over the Lineckberg and Hauenstein through the forest-rich hilly landscape northeast of Graz. Varied forest paths and gentle forest roads provide a pleasant hiking experience. Along the way, beautiful views of the Schöckl and the Graz Mountains open up. After a cozy break at the Gasthaus Sternwirt, the tour continues towards Fölling, where the hike ends.

Meeting point: 8:45 a.m., bus stop Weinitzen junction Rinnegg, end in Fölling, arrival and departure only by public transport - as there is no return to the starting point

Trail length: 12.5 km | Ascent 400 hm | Walking time approx. 4:30 hours

Duration of the hike: approx. until 2:00 p.m., afterwards a break at Sternwirt planned, followed by descent to Fölling for the bus

Travel by public transport: with RegioBus 240 to Weinitzen junction Rinnegg, return individually from Fölling with RegioBus 250

Degree of difficulty: Hike without special difficulty, condition for about 5 hours of walking time and about 400 meters of elevation gain

Equipment: Good hiking/mountain shoes required, hiking clothing (layering principle), backpack, rain and sun protection, possibly hiking poles, drink, snack

Cost: € 15.00 per person, payable on site to the guide

The guided hike is organized by the Graz Region Tourism Association in cooperation with the hiking guides. Please note that last-minute changes may occur. Participation is at your own risk.
