The Austrian Sculpture Park in Premstätten showcases art where it can breathe: in the open air, amidst meadows, paths, water features, and clearly defined garden spaces. During the guided tour on July 19 and August 23 at 11:30 a.m., visitors can view over 80 contemporary sculptures and a landscape garden that transforms with each season.

Just a few kilometers south of Graz lies this special place. The park was designed by landscape architect Dieter Kienast and resembles a large reading book in green. Some works stand quietly in the grass. Others reach into space, reflect in the water, or only reveal their essence from up close. Thus, a silent dialogue emerges between art, nature, and humanity.

The tour makes visible the extent of contemporary sculpture's vocabulary. Abstract forms stand alongside figurative works. Everyday objects are turned into art. Utility items gain new meaning. Names like Fritz Wotruba, Franz West, Erwin Wurm, or Yoko Ono show how diverse sculpture can be in the 20th and 21st centuries.

Especially in summer, a stroll through the Austrian Sculpture Park is worthwhile. Light, shadow, plants, and paths subtly change the perception of the works. The tour provides good orientation and calm insights into an art location in the Graz Region, which connects culture and landscape in a pleasant way.
