Gourmet tour in the Austrian Open-Air Museum
Culture meets culinary: Guided tasting journey through the open-air museum
A special journey through the history, craftsmanship, and flavors of Styria awaits guests at the "Culinary Journey in the Open-Air Museum and Scythe Workshop." On selected days, the Austrian Open-Air Museum Stübing opens its doors for a cultural and culinary day trip.
The journey begins in the historic scythe workshop. A guided tour through the revitalized forge immerses visitors in the world of traditional iron craftsmanship. After that, the trip continues to the Open-Air Museum Stübing, one of the largest of its kind in Europe. Along the museum valley, over 100 authentically preserved farmhouses from all regions of Austria tell stories of rural life from past centuries. Authentic insights, exciting stories, and living cultural heritage shape this tour.
The journey is rounded off with a three-course menu at the museum tavern "Zum Göller." Styrian specialties are served, from festive roasts to salads from the museum garden to sweet apple variations. A vegetarian option is also available upon request. Beverages are not included in the price.
