Friendship party

The Friendship Festival in Bärnbach has been a part of summer in Styria for many years. This year, it will be celebrated for the 24th time from June 12, 2026, to June 14, 2026, in Stadtpark Bärnbach. New this year is the kickoff on Friday with a San-Daniele festival, marking the beginning of the extended festive weekend.

What once started as a small gathering is now a fixed date in the regional calendar. The focus is on cross-border friendships and the vibrant exchange between partner regions. Music plays a central role, connecting generations, bringing people together, and ensuring shared hours in the open air.

In Stadtpark, kiosks, booths, and tents line up. Specialties from Styria, Friuli, Hungary, and Slovenia are offered. The smell of grilled food mixes with sweet pastries, accompanied by brass music, modern rhythms, and traditional sounds. The culinary offerings are complemented by crafts made of glass, metal, and wood.

A special highlight this year is the presentation of Italian vehicles and Vespas. They bring a piece of southern lifestyle to Bärnbach. Through the close collaboration of the four regions, not only cultural encounters arise but also new economic impulses for the Graz Region and beyond.
