The festival has upgraded Graz and Styria as a literary region, made it a magnet for the public and put Graz and the surrounding area in the media spotlight.
Because: The crime festival "Fine Crime" has the ambitious goal of defining Graz and the surrounding areas as the crime capital of the German-speaking world in the coming years. And to provide new incentives for the economy and tourism.
With nationwide bestsellers as "showcases" such as Eva Rossmann, Thomas Raab, Franzobel, Florian Klenk, Claudia Rossbacher to name just a few, the festival places great value on the presence of young and Styrian authors. In recent years, the organizers have also succeeded in presenting international stars, such as Veit Heinichen, Wolfgang Hohlbein... to the Styrian audience.
