When summer reaches its peak, on August 7 the short film evening “Snow in August” brings wintery images to the screen. The event in Ligist is dedicated to the fascination of ski tours and freeriding in Austria and shows short films by the “Daddies on Skies,” who have shared, experienced, and filmed their adventures themselves.
The films provide insights into alpine adventures, personal experiences, and the passion for snowy mountains. The focus is not only on athletic challenges but also on the stories behind the tours and rides – from the perspective of those who have traveled them themselves.
The connection to Ligist comes from the organizers, including Karin Urthaler (née Wipfler). The evening combines regional ties with images from the winter mountain landscape and offers friends and interested parties a summer meeting point with a mental cool down.
No reservations are necessary for the event. Cool drinks are available and accompany the film evening under the motto “Snow in August.”
