In the Kunsthaus Köflach gallery, Nikolaus Lapuch makes hidden forms of nature visible and transforms algae, lichens, and fine structures into fascinating abstract art.

Sometimes it pays off to take a closer look. Because some of the most exciting forms of nature are only revealed in small details – in fine lines, layers, and surprising structures that are usually hidden from the naked eye. Opening on October 2.
It is precisely here that Nikolaus Lapuch intersects with his exhibition at the Salon Kunsthaus Köflach. Algae, diatoms, and lichens serve as his inspiration, yet they are not portrayed in a lifelike manner. Instead, free, abstract forms and multilayered surfaces emerge, playing between order and randomness, nature observation and artistic interpretation.
Lapuch found impulses for his works, among other places, at mountain lakes, streams, and in the alpine landscape of the Swiss Upper Valais. He translates these impressions, layer by layer, into his own visual language, where organic structures are reimagined and made visible.
An exhibition for all those who want to discover how much creative power is contained in the smallest forms of nature.
