Exhibition: ‘Aufbruch Heimat(en)’ Part 2

With “Aufbruch Heimat(en)” Part 2, the Raiffeisenbank Nestelbach-Eggersdorf becomes an exhibition space. From September 2 to 15, 2026, eleven regional artists will engage with the question of what home means in a constantly changing world.

After the first part of the exhibition at Café Marie/Gold & Pech Theater in Eggersdorf near Graz, the project intentionally moves to a location that is not perceived as a cultural space in everyday life. The bank's rooms will serve as a gallery, thereby opening a new perspective on art and the concept of home in the Hügelland-Schöcklland region.

Featured are works in photography, ceramics, and painting by Peter Doppler, Bernd Grosseck, Andrea Kicker, Roswitha Liebminger, Isabella Müller-Fuchs, Regina Peier, Theresia Plank-Zebinger, Anneliese Rath, Doris Sailer, Carolina Sales Teixeira, and Esther Wendt. The focus is on home not as a rigid idea but as a connecting element that considers social diversity and openness.

The opening will take place on Tuesday, September 1, 2026, at 7 p.m. Valerie Schiller will moderate the evening, Johannes Tieber will accompany it on the Styrian harmonica, and Bernhard Valta will contribute literature. The exhibition is open from September 2 to 15 during the opening hours of the Raiffeisenbank Nestelbach-Eggersdorf with free admission.
