Day of Religions – ‘LIFE... in harmony’

Religious diversity shapes Graz in various ways. At the third “Day of Religions” on Sunday, September 27, 2026, places of worship in the city will become spaces for encounter, exchange, and new perspectives. Under the motto “LIFE... together” the day also marks the 20th anniversary of the Interreligious Council of the City of Graz.

15 religious and faith communities will open their doors. From 1:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., various religious sites can be visited and different faith traditions can be experienced. The program includes, among other things, guided tours, lectures, music, meditations, discussions, and personal encounters. Already in the morning, some Christian communities will offer open worship services.

A central information booth will be located at the Weikhard clock at Graz's main square. There, information about the program and the participating communities will be available.

The day will conclude with a celebratory event at 5:00 p.m. at the Tree of Life of the Interreligious Council in Graz's Volksgarten. Music and encounters will be at the center of this event. Participation in the Day of Religions is free of charge. The event makes the religious and cultural diversity of Graz immediately visible and offers an opportunity to get to know different faith communities and their lived practices.
