Cuisine: ‘Terra’ pop-up with Johann Schmuck

Refined cuisine, noble truffles, and excellent Styrian wines make the Advent season in Graz a feast for connoisseurs. From November 19 to December 22, Johann Schmuck brings his Terra to the spice house Van den Berg in Graz's Strauchergasse, combining sophisticated culinary art with the diversity of Styrian wine culture.

Gourmets can look forward to the culinary highlights from Terra, served in a carefully composed menu with six or nine courses. For lovers of fine truffle aromas, there is a special menu with four courses including bites. Creative flavor compositions and selected ingredients are the focus.

Special attention is given to the wines. Already at the start, Styrian sparkling wine ensures a delightful beginning. For each course, two wines are offered as an accompaniment to enhance the culinary experience. On selected evenings, the winemakers pour personally, bringing a piece of Styrian wine culture directly to the table. Which wineries will be represented remains a little Christmas secret for now.

Amidst fine spices, creative cuisine, and characterful wines, the pre-Christmas time in Graz can be discovered from its delightful side.

The Christmas pop-up is open from Monday to Saturday starting at 1:00 p.m. for lunch and at 6:00 p.m. for dinner. Reservations are requested online. The Terra menu with six courses costs € 115.00 and can be supplemented with three additional courses for € 50.00. The truffle menu costs € 120.00, and the wine pairing is € 75.00 or € 110.00.
