Concert: music eveningsGRAZ
Chamber music with Haydn, Brahms, and Auerbach. Piano, viola, and ensemble in musical dialogue in the Graz chamber music hall.
The concert “Auerbach | Brahms | Haydn” takes you through three epochs of music history. The Viennese Classic, Romanticism, and the present encounter each other in a program that places the piano at the center of a chamber music dialogue. In the Chamber Music Hall in Graz, dense sound spaces and tension-filled musical conversations between the instruments emerge.
At the beginning is the Piano Trio in A major Hob XV/14 by Joseph Haydn. The music of the Viennese Classic combines clear forms with lively movement. Piano, violin, and cello pick up motifs, develop them further, and create a delicate musical exchange.
With the “24 Préludes” for viola and piano by Lera Auerbach, a glimpse into the present opens up. The short pieces condense emotions into brief musical moments. Between calm lines, sudden tensions, and serene soundscapes, a multifaceted musical narrative unfolds.
As the evening progresses, Romanticism meets the clear language of the Classic and the open sound world of the present. The piano remains the connecting center of the program.
An evening in the cultural calendar of the Graz Region that brings together musical art from different epochs.
