On November 5, the Kulturhalle Hart near Graz will become a meeting point for Austropop fans and friends of Austrian music history. With her concert program “50+ Years of Austropop”, actress and singer Katharina Straßer, together with her band, embarks on a musical journey through Austrian pop music.
The focus will be on the songs that have shaped Austropop over the decades and still hold a firm place in Austrian music history. This also includes “Wie a Glock’n” by Marianne Mendt, one of the early classics of the genre. Although the song never reached the top 10 of the charts, it is considered an important milestone of Austropop.

For lovers of Austrian music and everyone who grew up with Austropop songs, the evening offers an opportunity to rediscover familiar songs. Younger music enthusiasts can also get to know a piece of Austrian pop culture.
