During the Children's Musical Week of the Graz Cathedral Music, children aged seven to 13 work on a musical play with songs, texts, scenery, and costumes.

Participation fee: € 140.00 per child

As the summer holidays come to an end, the Graz Cathedral Music offers a five-day children's musical week for children aged seven to 13 years. Under the direction of cathedral conductor Melissa Dermastia and accompanied by a team of educational supervisors, a joint singing play is created step by step.

From Monday, August 31 to Friday, September 4 2026, songs and texts will be rehearsed daily from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. In addition to the musical and theatrical rehearsal program, the children will also create the scenery and costumes themselves. Thus, the week combines collective singing and acting with creative work behind the scenes.

Throughout the rehearsal period, the participants will be continuously supervised. Meal and break times are planned into the daily schedule. The culmination will be the performance of the rehearsed singing play in the mausoleum. This will give the collaborative rehearsal work a clear highlight at a special Graz event location.
