Chamber Music Festival: Lacrimosa

On July 31, the Duo Gratzer & Bittmann brings the program "Lacrimosa" to the wagon depot at Schloss Piber in Styria. There, violin, mandola, clarinet, and saxophone meet a program that includes Mozart as well as folk music, improvisation, and new sound ideas from Austria.

The historic wagon depot at the Lipizzaner stud creates the perfect setting: wood, history, and the view of Piber provide calm and expansiveness for the evening. This place, situated between the stud, culture, and landscape, makes the concert approachable and special without being loud. Klemens Bittmann and Georg Gratzer not only play pieces; they create transitions, frictions, and fine arcs between classical music, folk sounds, and the present.
