CARNIVAL PARADE IN GRAZ

On February 9, 2027, the traditional Carnival parade will take place again in Graz.
The start of the Carnival parade is at 12:45 PM in Grazer Herrengasse - the jesters will then make their way to the main square. Here, the funniest costumes in various categories will be judged by an expert jury, and the winners can snag great prizes.
How can one participate in the Graz Carnival Parade?
Groups that wish to participate in the Carnival Parade can register online starting from October 2026.
Important note: Due to the Carnival Parade, trams will not run in Herrengasse on this day from around 12:15 PM until about 3:15 PM - a replacement bus service will be established. Since the city center around the parade is always very crowded on Carnival Tuesday, it is still advisable to travel by public transport. Arrive early to secure a spot with a good view of the parade! If you are coming from outside the city, we recommend using one of the many Park & Ride parking lots on the outskirts.
By the way: The Graz Carnival Parade is broadcast live every year on ORF2 – the broadcast starts at 1:15 PM until 2:10 PM.
