If a cozy gathering suddenly turns into music, one instrument finds the next, and yodeling happens in between, then it is time for “Bradln”. On Saturday, October 17, 2026, the Heurigenschenke Haller in Eggersdorf near Graz will be the meeting point for all who enjoy making music together from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
“Bradln” stands for spontaneous playing together in a tavern atmosphere – uncomplicated, sociable, and without a rigid program. A Styrian Buschenschank provides the perfect setting for this. Michael Reiter knows this form of making music well, has already played many Brettljause according to the organizer, and is happy to share his experiences. Besides musical practice, there will also be tips for aspiring and already active musicians.
And if the fingers need a break in between: singing and yodeling are explicitly welcome. As for the instruments, the rule is: anything that sounds good is allowed – all instruments may be brought along.
The focus is on an evening where perfection does not matter, but rather the joy of making music, listening, and trying things out together. Participation costs € 25.00 for members of the Styrian Folk Song Association, and € 30.00 for non-members. Registration with the Styrian Folk Song Association (+43 316 908635 or online) is required.
Eggersdorf can be reached by public transportation.
