History comes alive on November 6 when people share their memories. The book presentation “Oral History Nestelbach” focuses on personal narratives, historical insights, and the history of Nestelbach near Graz. The new illustrated book and the conversations with witnesses open a gateway to the past of the place and the people who have experienced and shaped it.

The event in the auditorium of the primary school Nestelbach begins with welcoming words and a presentation of the Oral History project. The initiative to capture personal memories as part of local history and make them accessible for future generations will be examined in detail.

A special highlight of the program is the conversations with witnesses. Their stories provide insights into past times and illustrate how differently people have experienced the development of their hometown. Following that, the illustrated book “Oral History Nestelbach” will be presented, which addresses the engagement with the community's history in book form.

Rolls and sweet dishes accompany the shared exchange and offer an opportunity to share memories and stories with each other.
Traveling by public transport is possible.
