visionary ad in the Berlin local newspaper, Harry Frommermann laid the foundation in 1927 for an ensemble that made music history.
Exactly 100 years later, the Berlin Comedian Harmonists revive the unmistakable sound of their predecessors in their program Veronika, the spring is here! – with classics like “My little green cactus,” “Veronika, the spring is here,” and “Somewhere in the world there’s a little bit of happiness.”
Based on Frommermann’s personal diary entries, the singers tell the fascinating story of the rapid rise to the moving end of the Comedian Harmonists – accessible, authentic, and full of emotion – and take the audience into the glamorous Berlin of the 1920s and 30s. You can expect a musical experience full of nostalgia, elegance, and charm.
