BLOOM: A tour of flower ecology & Full Moon Tour
Between passion flowers and sculptures, a quiet afternoon full of conversations, art, and late summer air grows on Magnolia Hill.
Admission for the full moon tour.
Bloom: Passion Fruit Meeting takes place on September 26 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. in the Austrian Sculpture Park in Premstätten. Daniela Brasil's work “Ver/Ent/Wurzelungen” is in the spotlight on the magnolia hill.
The artist lives in Graz and reflects on travel, arrival, and new roots through the Passiflora. The maracujá connects Rio de Janeiro, old expeditions to Brazil, and the collections in Graz. In the garden under the willow dome, art and nature grow closely together. Conversations, observations, and quiet paths through the park provide space for personal thoughts. BLOOM, the annual theme of the Universalmuseum Joanneum, fits well into the landscape: plants tell stories of origin, climate, care, and change.
Especially in Premstätten, just a little south of Graz, this becomes a quiet afternoon in the greenery. The sculpture park has been showing for years how contemporary art interacts with meadows, trees, and sky. This meeting makes the passion flower the common thread. Its bloom, its fruit, and its history open the view to colonial history, migration, and adaptation.
The full moon tour at 6:00 p.m. concludes a day full of events. It costs € 5.00, tickets are only available online. This leaves plenty of time to see the park in the late summer light and afterwards to walk with the moon through the collected impressions. A fine date for everyone who enjoys experiencing art in the Graz experience region outdoors, without loud words, but in good proximity to plants, people, and stories.
