Aufsteirern Festival: Styrian folk culture in the heart of Graz
From September 18 to 19, 2027, the city center of Graz will transform into a festival of folk culture. The Aufsteirern Festival showcases at numerous squares and courtyards how vibrant and typically Styrian tradition and joy of life are. Folk costume associations dance on stages, brass groups perform music, choirs resound, artisans present traditional craftsmanship techniques and the aroma of regional delicacies fills the air.
The event takes place in any weather – whether sunshine or rain, the celebration continues nonetheless. Admission is free!
As the city center turns into a large stage, trams will not operate over the main square or Herrengasse; replacement bus services will be in effect!
