Advent singing
Voices and strings fill the church with Advent sound, carried by calm and warmth.
The Advent Singing brings the quiet side of the pre-Christmas season to sound in the Church of Niederschöckl. The choir basoARTe mixes clear voices with familiar melodies, accompanied by the family music group Mayrold with fine folk music tones. Together, this creates an evening that takes its time and allows space for warmth, calm, and shared listening.
Weinitzen lies at the gates of Graz, and it is here that the program is particularly down-to-earth. The date is on December 7, 2026 at 7:00 p.m. Well-known Advent songs meet new arrangements and short, fitting texts that draw the arc of hope, light, and gratitude. The church, with its stone, wood, and candlelight, offers a natural acoustics; every tone can unfold, and every word remains understandable. Between the contributions, there is time to breathe: a glance at the altar, a nod to the neighbor, a quiet humming along with a stanza.
The audience does not expect any show effects, but honest musicianship. Exactly this creates the magic and connects generations. This concert is also an invitation to experience the Graz Region in a quiet hour and to continue the conversation after the music fades: about memories of previous evenings, about the first candle on the wreath, about what really matters during this time. This is how Advent sounds – close, warm, and human.
