Advent reading at the Rannach Alpine Garden
Escape the Christmas hustle and find some peace: The 20th Advent reading in the Rannach Alpine Garden offers reflective moments with dialect stories, gentle Christmas music, and communal singing.
Registration required!
As the days before Christmas become increasingly hectic, it is nice to pause for a moment. Leaving daily life behind, finding peace, and reflecting on what Christmas truly means – this is exactly what the traditional Advent reading in the Rannach Alpine Garden stands for. On December 9, 2026, this special evening will take place for the 20th time.
Away from pre-Christmas hustle and bustle, visitors can expect a lovingly decorated alpine garden, where stories and music set the tone. It's not about big gifts or long shopping lists, but rather about the small, precious moments of the Advent season.
Irmgard Angerbauer takes us on a journey through the past and the present with her empathetic dialect stories. Her narratives evoke memories, provoke thought, and provide moments of reflection.
The stories are accompanied by Manuela and Herbert from Knöpferlstreich. With selected Christmas pieces, they create calm, atmospheric sounds. The evening culminates in communal Christmas carols that bring to life the feeling of community and anticipation for the holiday.
Since 2007, Dr. Gerhard Hoppenberger has organized these Advent nights with great personal commitment for the association Alpengarten Rannach. This has become a cherished tradition over two decades. An evening to breathe, listen, and gather strength – and to rediscover the quiet, beautiful side of the Christmas season.
