The Hotel-Restaurant Schachenwald is located in Premstätten, south of Graz, and is only about 10 kilometers from Graz. The quiet location makes the hotel an ideal starting point for business travelers, holiday guests, as well as transit travelers.
The family-run hotel is part of the SHH Hotels, which operate further accommodations in the Graz experience region – including the sHome Hotel Graz in Puntigam and the sHome Apartments in Graz.
There are 42 comfortable standard and superior rooms, including two suites. The rooms are equipped with free Wi-Fi, satellite TV, and a bathroom or shower. Some rooms additionally feature a terrace or a balcony.
For relaxed moments, the hotel offers a private pool and a relaxation area with saunas and infrared cabins. Those who prefer to enjoy the Schwarzlsee can obtain a day pass upon request during the summer months from May to September and can relax and linger there at no extra cost.
Please note that the passes are limited and will be issued depending on availability.
Culinary offerings are also superb: The in-house restaurant delights guests with Austrian and international cuisine – from the hearty breakfast buffet to varied lunch menus and cozy dinners. Breakfast can be booked at any time upon request.

For a particularly straightforward start, our comfortable online check-in is available at the Hotel Schachenwald. You will receive the link for this no earlier than three days before your arrival via e-mail. Through this, you can enter your data in advance, register the data of accompanying guests, and conveniently pay for your accommodation online.
After completing the online check-in, you will receive a QR code. On-site, simply scan this at the check-in terminal to receive your room card.
Alternatively, you can also check in directly on-site at the check-in terminal. For this, you need your photo ID, a method of payment, as well as your booking number to retrieve your reservation. After entering the required data and successful payment, you will receive your room card immediately.
Those arriving before 8:00 p.m. can of course also check in classically at the reception. Our friendly receptionist will be happy to assist you.
The checkout is particularly uncomplicated: Simply return your room card at the reception or drop it into one of the designated boxes that you will find at the exits.
