A leisurely round trip takes you from Murau, partly along the Murradweg, into the Katschtal and Rantental valleys.
Discover the placees around the Stolzalpe on this leisurely bike tour, which is especially popular by locals. From Murau to Frojach you wll cycle along the river Mur in a relaxed way. At Katsch, the tranquil Katsch Valley opens up at the begining of which the ruins of Katsch Castle sit high in the rock.
Through the small towns of Althofen and Peterdorf you reach St. Peter am Kammersberg, from where it is not far to Feistritz Castle in the town nof the same name. Continuing through the horse village of Baierdorf and Schöder, you reach the Rantental valley, where you cycle comfortably through the forest between Ranten and Murau back to the starting point.

From the starting point at Murau train station, head east until you reach a roundabout. Take the first exit off the roundabout towards Scheifling. From here, follow the Murradweg R2 cycle path to Frojach. Turn right at the Frojach level crossing. After about 100 m, cross the main road and turn left.
This is where the Katschtal Cycle Path R1 begins. Ride over the cycle bridge to Katsch to the war memorial and follow the local cycle path to the Hörbinger department store. Here, turn left again and continue until you reach the main road. Turn left there towards St. Peter am Kammersberg and follow the cycle path until just before Althofen. Cycle along the main road through Althofen, where you cross the bridge on the left and then turn right onto the Katschtal Cycle Route R1. A gravel road takes you to St. Peter am Kammbersberg. When you reach the main road, turn left and then right at the next opportunity. The route climbs slightly uphill and then turns left towards Feistritz/Mitterdorf.
Continue via Mitterdorf to Feistritz am Kammersberg. After leaving Feistritz, turn right and follow the Katschradweg R1 cycle path again until just before Baierdorf. Continue on the main road to the end of Baierdorf. Here, follow the R1 cycle path again until you reach the Schöder town sign. From here, cycle along the state road, which takes you to the highest point of the tour (940 m). Continue via Rottenmann to the intersection, where you turn left towards Murau. After a few hundred meters, we recommend taking a break at the former Humburger sawmill with its "Waschlrad". Take the Ranten Cycle Path R63 back to Murau.
