East: From Vienna on the A 2 and S 6 to Leoben and St. Michael i. d. O., continue on the S 36 to Judenburg and on the B 96 to Murau. From Murau via Ranten to Krakau.
From Graz on the A 9 to St. Michael i. d. O., continue on the S 36 to Judenburg and on the B 96 to Murau. From Murau via Ranten to Krakau.

West, North: From Bregenz/Innsbruck via the A 12, A 93 and A 8 to Salzburg. From Salzburg on the A 10 to St. Michael im Lungau. From here, take the B 96 to Tamsweg and continue towards Murau via Sauerfeld to Krakau.

South: From Klagenfurt on the B 83 to Scheifling. Then on the B 96 to Murau and on to Krakau.

Parking is available at Etrachsee.

Ascent: Past the Etrachsee lake on the marked forest road to the Rudolf-Schober-Hütte (1,667 m), continue until the marked path makes a sharp right turn out onto the ridge. Now continue straight on towards the Bauleiteck summit. The last section to the summit is covered on foot without skis.

Descent: same as ascent

Osten: Von Wien Südbahnhof mit der Bahn über Bruck a. d. Mur und Judenburg nach Unzmarkt. Ab Unzmarkt mit der Schmalspurbahn oder mit dem Bus 890 bis Murau-Stolzalpe. Von dort mit dem Bus 895 in die Krakau. Von Graz mit der Bahn bis Bruck a. d. Mur, umsteigen nach Unzmarkt. Weiter siehe oben.

Westen, Norden: Mit der Bahn von Bregenz/Innsbruck/Salzburg/Linz nach Radstadt. Weiter mit dem Bus 780 über Mauterndorf nach Tamsweg. Von Tamsweg mit der Regionalbahn nach Murau-Stolzalpe und mit dem Bus 895 in die Krakau.

Süden: Von Klagenfurt mit der Bahn nach Unzmarkt und weiter mit der Schmalspurbahn bis Murau-Stolzalpe. Anschließend mit dem Bus 895 in die Krakau.
