On the day of arrival, you can already use all public transport for free with the Murau Guest Card starting at 2:00 PM!

As part of the inclusive services, public transport is fully accessible.

Boarding the Murtalbahn
In a two-hour interval, the narrow-gauge railway takes you from Tamsweg over Murau to Unzmarkt and back again. Along this route, you will find many boarding and alighting options as well as attractions for young and old. The Murau Guest Card can also be used as a ticket here.

Furthermore, the Murtalbahn stops at many stations of the Mur cycle path, offering the perfect opportunity for a cycling trip along the Mur. If there is enough space, you are welcome to take your bicycle along, and with the Murau Card, this is even free of charge.

Feel free to use the Guest Card for a trip with the steam train, where you will receive a 30% discount.

Thanks to our extensive bus network, the region also offers a balance between traveling by train or car to the various valleys and plateaus. 11 bus lines will take you to your desired attraction of the day.

With the Murau valley buses, a trip to the next hiking region is characterized by pleasant travel and stress-free parking searches.

Why are our valley buses so special? Thanks to the countless transfer options between the individual lines, connections to many excursion destinations are possible. Thus, the hub Schöder offers a visit to the Etrachsee, the Günster waterfall, Murau, the Sölkpass, and the Stein an der Enns train station.

The towns of Tamsweg and Krakow are easily accessible, as well as the Etrachtal and Rantensee. Experience the scenery from a different perspective and enjoy a ride on one of our valley buses! Tickets for the valley buses can be purchased directly on the bus.
