Neumarkt in der Steiermark

Cozy cider tavern with a great view at an altitude of 1000 meters above sea level. Whether in the orchard, in the "Zirbenstube" parlor or in the "smoke kitchen", the homemade snacks at "Zeischgl" are unique. Our own dairy and organic farm with cattle, pigs, chickens and so on make this possible. The way to the nearby lookout is also always worth a trip!

From the center of Neumarkt you drive about 5 kilometers up to us to be surprised by the great view. The Neumarkt high valley, the "Seetaler" Alps, our organic farm in a single location. Cattle, pigs, goats, chickens,... a lot animals live on our farm.

We have been running a cider tavern since 2005. Atmospheric spots in the garden or in one of the sitting rooms make it cozy. Friendly waiters serve our homemade specialties. Bacon, salami, butter and Styrian cheese, bread and pastries, salad,... and of course the cider and schnapps are produced directly on the farm. Alpin cheese, goat cheese and smoked trout complete our snacks and come from regional farmers.

A walk to a 13 meter high lookout will make the visit unforgettable. Swing in a huge soul swing, a "Hildegard von Bingen" herb path, but also castle ruins can be explored in close proximity.

If you like it so much that you want to stay longer, you can rent a room in our "organic hay hotel". Sleep differently for once, right in the hay. Shower, toilet, sauna and a small kitchen offer the necessary comfort for this special living area.

A visit to our cider tavern can also be combined with a hike through the "Graggerschlucht" up to us. The walking time is around 1 ½ hours.
