The Carnival Guild of St. Blasen warmly invites you to participate in the State Jester Awakening, the inauguration of the State Prince and Princess, and the designation of St. Lambrecht as the State Jester Capital. Look forward to a festive program full of tradition, music, and dance. The Carnival Guild of St. Blasen is looking forward to your arrival!
Program
from 8.30 a.m. – Meeting point & Breakfast (For guilds, bands, and carnival runners)
Location: Pavilion of the Benedictine Monastery St. Lambrecht in the monastery garden
- Photo opportunity with the state prince couple
- Cozy breakfast, hosted by the market municipality of St. Lambrecht, our main sponsor Murauer Bier, and the Faschingsgilde St. Blasen
10:15 a.m. – Devotion & Blessing
Location: Monastery Church St. Lambrecht
- Led by Prior Father Gerwig Romirer
10:45 a.m. – Formation & Festival Parade
Location: Monastery courtyard, march through the monastery gate to the market municipality office
- Welcome of all honored guests, guilds, and bands from Styria and beyond, as well as the carnival runners from the district of Murau
11:11 a.m. – Festive event & Performances
- Dance of the children and youth guard of the Faschingsgilde St. Blasen
- Protocol part of the state association
- Presentation of a traditional wreath from the carnival runners of St. Lambrecht (UNESCO World Heritage)
- Return march to the pavilion
around 12:30 p.m. – Wind-down
- more dance performances by the visiting bands
- cozy conclusion with the music group “Blosn hoit”
