Climate change and biodiversity loss affect us all. This is why many responsible and forward-looking companies want to make a contribution to a better world through CSR/CER - Corporate Social / Environmental Responsibility.
How can you provide support?
The Gesäuse National Park stands for wilderness and the free development of nature. Examples of work assignments are:
- Hiking trail renovation
- Dismantling old infrastructure
- Combating neophytes
- Rubbish collection campaigns
The Styrian Eisenwurzen Nature and Geopark stands for sustainable use to preserve the traditional cultural landscape. Examples of work assignments are:
- Maintenance and planting of orchards
- Maintenance of alpine meadows, sweeping* of overgrown alpine pastures
* befreien der Almflächen von z.B. Latschen und Sträuchern, die ein Zuwachsen der Almflächen fördern.
Offer
We make the offer as flexible as possible and also try to fulfil your company's wishes when it comes to work assignments. Depending on the season, weather conditions and urgency, there are different things to do in nature. In any case, the work is carried out by trained and certified rangers and nature guides. In addition to the work itself, participants have the opportunity to get to know and experience the unique nature of our region in a very special way under professional guidance
The standard assignment is designed for 1.5 days or 1 day for a maximum of 12 people.
How does the assignment work?
1 day
MORNING
- Arrival and start at the location or at the accommodation (depending on journey)
- Introduction by NP ranger or nature guide, further discussion of the company's wishes and definition of success parameters
MORNING - AFTERNOON
- Distribution of work materials Work assignment (lunch break in between)
EVENING
- Summary and photo recap (e.g. in the Weidendom National Park, at Gallenstein Castle, in the accommodation or at mountain huts/alpine pastures)
- Dinner and conclusion
1,5 days
MORNING

2nd Day
MORNING/MORNING
- Reflection: What was achieved? Were the goals achieved? How was the teamwork? Were there parallels to everyday working life, was anything learnt? What conservation lessons were learnt?
- Feedback and journey home (no more work on the 2nd day!)
