Coming from Vienna (approx. 180 km): Take the Ybbs motorway exit, continue towards Wieselburg, Gaming, Lunz am See, through Göstling, past Hochkar towards Palfau.
Coming from Graz (approx. 112 km): From Leoben, head towards Vordernberg, continue over the Präbichl to Eisenerz, Hieflau; In Landl, turn right towards Wildalpen/Göstling. Drive through Gams and you will arrive in Palfau
From Linz (approx. 128 km): Via Enns towards Steyr, continue through the Enns Valley to Weyr, Altenmarkt, turn left in Großreifling before the railway station
Coming from Salzburg (approx. 197 km): Take the A1 towards Linz, continue at the Voralpenkreuz junction and change to the A9 towards Graz, exit at Windischgarsten, continue via the Hengstpass to Altenmarkt, turn left in Großreifling towards Palfau.

Großreifling to Palfau on the road: mixed traffic! The MTB route is open from April 15 to October 31, from 2 hours after sunrise to 2 hours before sunset. Be aware of and respect local closures! Emergency rescue number: 144 Tip for reporting an emergency – provide answers to the six W questions: What happened? How many people are injured? Where did the accident occur (GPS coordinates if available)? Who is reporting it (callback number)? When did the accident occur? What are the weather conditions at the scene?
If you can stay an extra night in Johnsbach, you should take a leisurely day trip on the Johnsbach Alpine Pasture Trail!
