A steep hike with spectacular views of the Gesäuse (Tamischbachturm and Planspitze)

Winding our way through quiet villages and green meadows, we climb higher and higher above Hieflau. The climb is well worth it! The view of the Gesäuse peaks never fails to impress both visitors and locals alike.

A steep climb toward Kirchbichl to the Gesäusedrechsler (paved), then along meadow paths to the hamlet of Wandau via Eckstall (meets Trail #13), past Leni’s farm shop full of delicacies, by the military cemetery and the wayside chapel, and back to the town center.
