Forstauer´s Hofbräu

Our ingredients are not only all from organic farming, but also purchased regionally as far as possible. The water we use has a journey distance of 250 metres before it flows into our production facility.

But Forstauers Hofbräu does not only pay attention to the ingredients: The electrical energy we need is produced on site with the help of our own hydroelectric power plant and our photovoltaic system. And the waste? There is none at our brewery. What others throw away, we use as feed for the cattle. These synergies have made it possible to produce our beer in a CO2-neutral way. So: sip for sip, enjoy with a clear conscience.

Us and the beer

As enthusiastic beer drinkers and connoisseurs, we became passionate about beer many years ago - we wanted our own beer. A beer that is brewed by hand, unfiltered and reflects the taste of the region - varied and unadulterated. This is also the structure of our company.

It started out as a small farm and now, in the second generation, it stands on many stable pillars - the Hofbräu is another milestone in the development and growth of our family business. Grounded and firmly rooted in the region, connected with the people and the traditions, we try to make a contribution with our business to sustainable, ecological and economical management for the benefit of all.

The Gesäuse has waited long enough for its own beer. All we can say is: Cheers!
