Doll museum
Rottenmann
"It is truly a very diverse collection, and one should take the time to immerse oneself in a long-gone era," describes Christine Gamsjäger her small exhibition.
The loom, made for weaving rag rugs, and later the lacework and old lace pillows were the beginning of the private collection of the Upper Styria woman. Dollhouses, small and large doll rooms, grocery stores, doll strollers, and rocking horses also find their place here. They stand alongside old sewing machines, irons, and many quirky and old handcraft tools. A collection of early handcraft books invites for browsing.
The doll rooms and kitchens were equipped with a lot of love, including all details (from the noodle strainer to the wall clock), as well as fine old handicrafts (whether embroidered or lace, with needle point or net lace). The stove is also a must in every kitchen.
