The cows moo, the geese honk, the horses snort, and the birds chirp in competition. This is how we wake up on our farm. The first glance out the window shows meadows and forests, as well as the jagged peaks of some Gesäuse mountains.
Our farm "Lackenbauer" is located in the most picturesque area of Austria. Here you can immerse yourself in authentic rural life, escape the daily routine, and dive into the tranquility and serenity of the unspoiled region around the Gesäuse National Park and the Nature and Geopark Styrian Eisenwurzen.
A typical vacation day on our farm begins with a hearty breakfast. You can enjoy coffee, tea, or cocoa, our homemade apple juice from our own trees in our orchard, along with delicious jam made from the fruits of the garden and eggs from the happy farm chickens. Of course, there is also ham and cheese, as well as a selection of fruits and vegetables. After breakfast, you can explore the farm. Perhaps you would like to help with feeding the animals or simply soak in the peaceful atmosphere. There are many opportunities for kids to get to know farm life - from feeding the animals to playing in the hay, from cuddling with cats to observing rabbits, pigs, goats,…
Our farm is also the perfect starting point to explore the surrounding landscape. Whether hiking, cycling, or simply strolling - the possibilities are endless.
For the perfect end to the day, you will find large cozy hammocks in our orchard. From there, you can observe our starry sky with the Milky Way in wonderful peace. You can only hear the silence of the surroundings.
A vacation with us on the farm is more than just a break. It is a return to nature, an experience to appreciate simple living, and a connection to the earth. It is a place where you can leave the hustle and bustle of modern life behind and enjoy the simple pleasures of country life.
