- directly accessible from Buchau / Prieler gravel works via the normal route.

- Hiking time from Gstatterboden / National Park Pavilion or church via the normal route: approx. 2½ hours
- From Gstatterboden or Hieflau along the mountain bike route (forest road), then from Hochscheibenalm and via the Jägersteig: approx. 3 hours

From the Ennstalerhütte (shortly before it), follow trail 645 in the direction of the Tieflimauer via ferrata or continue toward the Kleiner Buchstein.
Moderately difficult via ferrata, mostly grades A and B, with 2 sections rated C,
or take the normal route (east ridge).
