  • From the Grimminghütte, hikers can also set out on alpine tours to the dominant peak of the valley – the Grimming (2,351 m).

Due to its imposing appearance, it was long considered the highest mountain in Styria!

  • From Trautenfels (Schloss Trautenfels, approx. 650 m) via the Schneegrube (southeast route), passing the Grimminghütte – approx. 30 minutes by car from Haus Gassner.

  • From Kulm / Tauplitz (northwest side, approx. 960 m), starting behind the ski flying hill, through the summit cirque where the bivouac box is located – approx. 45 minutes by car from Haus Gassner.

  • From Trautenfels (Schloss Trautenfels), via the Grimminghütte, then over Kasten or Multereck – this route first crosses the eastern sub-peak (2,176 m) before reaching the main summit – approx. 30 minutes by car from Haus Gassner.
