Fishing

Because the Gesäuse makes no compromises, it’s not just the mountains here that are wild, but its inhabitants too. Yes, even the creatures beneath the water. And because everything here is always a supreme challenge, this naturally extends to fishing as well. Anyone can sit, cast and wait. Fly fishing, on the other hand, requires skill. Wild fishing in the Styrian wilderness: it’s a perfect match.

Fliegenfischen hingegen will gekonnt sein. Wildfang in der steirischen Wildnis: Das passt.

Fly fishing

The fly fisherman has little time for the stoic calm of the traditional angler. He sets out actively in search of his catch. And this takes him not only close to the water’s edge, but also into the water itself. He wades through the habitats of his prey. It is not only the nature of the hunt that distinguishes fly fishing from traditional fishing; the lures are different too.
