Hot Jazz from Graz – in the spirit of Django Reinhardt and his “Quintette du Hot Club de France”, the ensemble around guitarist Simon Reithofer and violinist Michael Leitner is dedicated to the tradition of the music that is now commonly referred to as gypsy jazz. Compositions by Reinhardt, music from the swing era and traditional Sinti and Roma songs form the foundation for melancholic, delicate sounds that contrast with acrobatic improvisations.
